Join the Knowledge SUCCESS project for this exciting "fail fest" moderated by Ellen Starbird, Director of USAID's Office of Population and Reproductive Health. Representatives from USAID, WHO, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and PSI will share their stories of improving through failure.
Our experiences with failure give us some of the greatest insights into how we can improve programs and services, but they aren't often shared. Family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) partners around the world are eager to learn more about what does NOT work in FP/RH programs to avoid repeating past mistakes but there are limited opportunities for these discussions.
These failure experiences highlight how individuals in different roles learn from their failures and the roles that each of us can play in improving through failure. Presenters will share why the failure was meaningful, what they learned, how they integrated learning into their work, and their recommendations for others. Participants will leave with guidance for how they can share their own failure experiences.
Through this event, Knowledge SUCCESS seeks to support a culture of informal sharing among organizations and normalize improving through our failures so we can be better equipped to replicate and adapt lessons learned in FP/RH.
